What's in the Next Issue?

This was a block buster issue for us!  We have been very fortunate to have Brian Forbes join the ranks of our authors and the very good news is that Brian will be contributing for us in the next issue and, we expect, further issues as well.  You'll need to check out the next issue to see what subject Brian will be tackling.

We'll have an article on a shop-made drill press table that has some new innovative features.  Also covered will be a jig used to glue up the soundboard and backs for acoustic guitars, ukuleles and similar instruments.  We'll feature another book review and of course, many other articles covering a wide range of lutherie topics.

And as we have in this issue with Kevin Sanderson's "dreadnought" mandolin, we'll have follow ups so you can check on the progress of stories we have covered, such as the final state of projects such as the shop-made thickness caliper and the neck carving jig.

As always, we'll have all the latest Guild news and - who knows? - we might even have an article from you!  All of our members keep busy.  We love what we do and, I really believe, we love to share our passion with others.  If this wasn't true, our association wouldn't exist.  So since you are busy building jigs, designing instruments, working on your latest instruments, discovering new tools or new ways to use familiar tools, or finding new and productive ways to improve your workshop and build processes... please consider sharing your ideas, experience and knowledge with all of us.  Just let me know if you can contribute and thank you in advance from all of us:        oconnorpeter9@gmail.com

WE NEED TO HEAR FROM YOU!

We can produce more of these newsletters, but only if you want us to, and only if we have content contributed from our members.  The only way we know if you want the newsletters to continue is if we hear from you, so let us know if you do.

And we also need your contributions to the

content, your stories, pictures of current or past builds with, if possible, some information about the instrument, tips and tricks, instructional articles and so on.

Whatever your level of experience, you do have something to share.  Please help us.  If you want, these newsletters can continue as a regular feature beyond the current public crisis.  oconnorpeter9@gmail.com
