Welcome to the second issue of the SOLG Newsletter!  The newsletter was first published as a result of the current pandemic, and the consequence of not being able to hold regular meetings.  The first issue was well received and so we have decided to continue with further issues.

Our very big news, as far as this newsletter is concerned, is that Brian Forbes, a professional luthier and published author, has contributed an article: "Seven Helpful Ways to Ensure a Successful Build".  I'm sure you'll find this article to be very informative and a great read!  And even more great news:  we are very fortunate in being able to announce that Brian will be writing a column for future issues of the newsletter.

You might recognize Brian Forbes as the author of "Acoustic Guitar Making: How to Make Tools, Templates, and Jigs".   This is a wonderful book that I have personally found very helpful and insightful.  There is a review of this book in this issue.

Also in this issue, Dan Thrasher has written an article that appears in the Guild News section on our most recent outdoor event.  If you weren't able to make the get-together, be sure to read Dan's article to see what these events are like - we hope to see you at the next one!
